Polymer dry consents production of dry concentrate for coloring polymer pigment particles very close together and form clusters of primary particles, called agglomerates. To fully realize the ability of coloring pigment, these agglomerates must be broken up to the level of individual particles uniformly distributed in the coated material. The term dispersion of particles determines how well particle fragmentation occurred, and the term distribution of the particles determines how evenly in the volume of material available, these fragmented particles.
Terms realization color or used to describe the degree distribution of the particles concentrate in the finished product. Concentrate with weak gives a weak color or color causes veins.
Polymer processing – methods that are used for making polymer material in the finished product. This term includes injection molding, extrusion, rotational molding and others.
Dry coloring is used to describe the staining of the polymer product at the stage of processing (eg, injection molding) using concentrates. The same term used to describe a compound with the use of dry pigments, rather than concentrates.
Delamination – the phenomenon of stratification of two co-molten incompatible polymer matrix after cooling the cast product. This phenomenon can be manifested in the form of bubbles on the surface of the product, which is found in the scraping bedding material.
The granulated mixture represents a way of mixing the concentrate and the polymer pellets before loading into the processing equipment.
Pre-painted polymer – polymer material containing a well-dispersed colorant, and ready for the process of refining the product.
Monopigmentnaya dispersion – concentrate, which has only one colorant as a coloring component.
The term dilution in the processing of PEX polymers used in various aspects. For coloring concentrates the term refers to the ratio of concentrate to the amount of polymer, which is realized corresponding color products. When compounding with the colorant, the term used to describe dilute pigment in contrast to the original dry colorant, sometimes referred to as “dissolved pigment. The term “dilution” in this sense is used to denote the color intensity which makes accurate dosing of pigment. Another use of this term refers to the relative length of the screw to its diameter in the extrusion and injection molding machines.
Terms of mixing and blending are used interchangeably to describe the physical interaction of a number of different ingredients in the formation of a single material (the term “compounding” suggests the possibility of not only physical but also the chemical interaction of components.
