<p>To start with, the PEX pipes are highly resistant to extreme temperatures. This is also the same to the copper pipes but it can easily break when exposed to extreme ones. This is because the expansion and contraction ability of the copper pipes is not acceptable and can easily break during freezing. The PEX pipes on the other hand, cannot break. This is due to their high flexibility which enables them to withstand different temperatures by stretching instead of expansion which weakens the copper pipes.</p>

There are several types of polyethylene &#8211; the product obtained by polymerization of ethylene,<br />
- Low density (LD PEX);<br />
- High density (HD PEX);<br />
- Ultra high molecular density (UHMWPE) crosslinked (PEX).</p>
<p>In normal (raw or sewn), polyethylene (PE) are long molecules are not coupled with each other in a polymer matrix. At the same time, the mechanical properties such as hardness, tensile strength, etc. strongly depend on the relative position, &#8220;entanglement&#8221; of molecules. Therefore, the main issue in the design is to achieve maximum economic efficiency in the construction and operation (of course, if it meets all sanitary standards), plumbing system of the city. But the question now is directly reduced to the choice of material for the pipeline system and method of installation.</p>
<p>It is well known that the use of PEX pipes of large diameter opens new opportunities in the construction of pipelines. Traditionally, large-diameter <strong>PVC fittings</strong> are <strong>PEX tubes</strong> with a diameter 500-1200 mm. The main areas of application of such pipes are heavy and sewers, penstock, drain. The share of the market, which occupy polyethylene pipes, is quite significant and growing rapidly. Increase the proportion of polyethylene pipe will occur primarily at the expense of building new and restoring old or obsolete systems, water mains and sewage systems, especially for specific conditions of large cities, extensive roads and highways. <p><strong>Checking for Leak</strong><br />
